This video diary follows my experience watching the ball drop in Times Square, and then my life immediately after when I flew to London to study there for my spring semester. I never saw the ball drop in person before, so I really wanted to capture every moment: the confetti, the police, the selfies. In London you may see a lot of footage of pigeons, I spent a lot of time in parks and on walks, grounding myself in a new environment. It sounds silly, but it was comforting to see pigeons, as there are pigeons all over New York City, and they made me feel at home in a space where I didn't know anyone yet.
